Also being an American I was glad I was in Canada when I needed help.

I was in the psych ward for 3 weeks. Now it's public. Although the wait was long I found out later that half the psychiatrists had left to for private practice, so they were extremely short staffed. Once I was taken inpatient, things were a blur more due to my state of mind. During my stay I realized they do everything for a reason. Eating properly, sleeping and get meds right. The Doctor I had was exceptional and nailed my medication properly the first time. The nurses are the true heroes and were always willing to talk or help where they could. The nurses have a real challenge since in many cases they don't know what's wrong and they can't always rely on the individual telling them. The food was very good for an institutional kitchen and we were able to choose our food for each meal during the week days. They would come around with a tablet to select from.

A study could be done and I bet there could be major improvements done to the signage around the place to help people figure out where to go.

Came tonight with my 10 months old boy. He had fever and was restless. Held us 3 hours in Emergency waiting room. Then asked us to come inside medical room. Held us again 1 hour just to a doctor come and visit the baby. So terrible, isn’t it? This is the quality of our medical care? The hospital management should be ashamed of their quality of services. terrible experience.

The frustrating part was I didn't understand their role initially. They are there for critical care and want to get you in and out as safely possible to take in new patients.

A very nice hospital. Hard to navigate around; got lost a few times! The parking is all around the place. The hospital itself is a bit confusing to navigate around. They need an app to help you navigate.

The social workers I had were exceptional. They are truly excellent advocates for the patients and went beyond what I would consider normal. It never really felt like I was in an institution which I credit the nurses for.

Had TKR at Queensway. Dr Randall is the best. Great bedside manners plus did a great job on my knee. Surgical Nurses did the perfect job to make my stay very comfortable and put my mind at ease.

When we called to ask for some info on a family member, they said that they had no records of his visits despite going to the ER twice. They kept telling us that we went to another hospital over and over again which was absolutely ridiculous. When we asked for help on the next steps to take, yet again, they told us that we went to another hospital when in reality, they did not record our visits. By now, we were extremely frustrated and annoyed and when the receptionist realized this, she decided to hang up on us. What kind of customer service is this?? 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. Do yourself a favour and don't go to QCH.
